Analysis of survey results

So the majority of the people who took the survey were 17 to 24 years old. This is the expected target market for music videos.





We also had more females than males taking the survey .










The top two genres that come out of these results were pop and indie rock. This is very helpful to us because this includes the genre that we are thinking of picking .










In these results we saw a very big range in the way people answered the question. This worked out quite well as it gave us ideas about what the public like to see included in a music video. There was also a big age range from 17 to 40+.







The majority preferred a narrative over a performance element included in a music video. This suits our initial ideas because we were thinking of using the narrative element over the performance. We believe that having a performance element can come across as slightly cheesy affecting the quality of the over all music video.




Most people wanted a complete not cliff hanger narrative. This is how we have also chosen to end our music video.
We included this question to give us some general knowledge of how people assess their music because there is such a huge range of ways these days.
